What is a TIG Welding Machine?

A TIG welding machine (Tungsten Inert Gas) is a welding tool widely used in various industries, including mechanical engineering, electronics, aerospace, automotive, shipbuilding, oil and gas, and many others.

TIG Welding Machine: This machine utilizes the TIG welding method, employing a non-melting Tungsten electrode. The electrode is solely used to maintain the arc, generating heat to melt the welding material and the welding rod. The entire welding joint, arc beam, welding electrode, and welding material are enveloped in an inert gas layer, usually Argon or Helium. Consequently, the welding wire must be connected to the gas cylinder, linked to the inert gas supply. Due to the inert gas environment, metals do not oxidize, eliminating the need for flux. TIG welding machines come in both DC (direct current) and AC (alternating current) types. These machines are designed for specific purposes depending on the welding material and the required arc characteristics.

These are professional electronic welding machines (combining rod and gas welding) capable of welding iron and stainless steel, featuring high power and widespread use in construction and industry.

Applications of TIG Welding:

  • Metal Welding: TIG welding machines are commonly used for welding metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, titanium, and other alloys. This method allows for precise and aesthetically pleasing welds, providing protection against external environmental impacts.
  • Repair and Maintenance: TIG welding machines are employed for repairing and maintaining metal parts in machinery, vehicles, airplanes, and ships. This welding method enables quick and effective repairs, extending the lifespan of equipment.
  • Metal Fabrication: TIG welding is utilized in the fabrication of metal parts such as containers, tanks, pipes, and various devices. This welding technique ensures the production of high-quality products that meet safety and quality standards.
  • Technology: TIG welding machines are also used in technology to manufacture electronic components such as plugs, circuit boards, and other devices. This welding method allows for the creation of small, precise components that meet high-quality standards.
